What to expect from AVO Escape Space
Facts:
AVO Escape Space is an innovative sci-fi VR experience developed by Game Cooks, an independent VR studio based in Lebanon. In this puzzle adventure, you assume the identity of PatientZ, the last survivor aboard a spaceship caught in the middle of a devastating meteor storm.
Players must rely on the help of AVO, the ship’s artificial intelligence, to solve a variety of challenging puzzles in order to escape the ship’s impending doom. Recently released, AVO Escape Space has received high praise from players for its tricky puzzles and immersive environment.
To create an authentic experience, the Game Cooks team conducted extensive research by playing numerous real-life escape room games. These experiences allowed them to analyze the movement patterns, challenges, and expectations of players and effectively transfer them to virtual reality.
What to expect from Powder VR
Facts:
Powder VR by Terje Haakonsen is a winter sports game in which you experience skiing, snowboarding, and wingsuit flying in virtual reality. You can move around on various terrains such as cliffs, glaciers, frozen lakes, forests and deserted towns.
The VR game offers various modes, including downhill racing, freestyle tricks and slalom. To improve playability, there are customizable comfort settings and optimized gameplay that reduces motion sickness in VR. You can also choose between arcade and simulation modes for an even more personalized gaming experience.
As the game is still in the BETA phase and is still being improved, the developers have created a comprehensive guide to help you understand the controls. While this guide is not necessary to learn the game, it explains the simulation settings and advanced techniques in detail.
What to expect from Toss!
Facts:
Toss! is a VR platformer game where you play as a monkey in an outer space setting. After crash landing on a cloud planet, your objective is to collect parts to repair your ship while navigating through over 75 levels across nine different environments. The game requires agility and timing, similar to traditional platformer games.
The game features parkour-style actions where you can soar and grab onto various objects. It offers different challenges like racing against time, collecting bananas, and minimizing grabs. You can compete with others based on time and rank, and track your friends’ leaderboard positions. You can also unlock game modifiers such as Zero Gravity and Double Toss after achieving a certain level of mastery.
