Vrider SBK puts you in the role of a Superbike pro. Customizable difficulty levels and driving aids make sure everyone can keep up.
The superbike racing game Vrider SBK from Funny Tales and VRAL Games is now available for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. It uses technologies such as a proprietary racing engine and a VR-optimized rendering pipeline to deliver the most realistic superbike racing simulation possible.
Vrider offers extensive customization options for motorcycles, tire traction control, driving aids, and accessibility settings. This should allow all players, regardless of their abilities or limitations, to enjoy the experience of superbike racing.
The full version will enhance the experience of the previously available Early Access version with additional content and features:
A PC VR version on Steam is planned for the end of 2024, and the teams are also officially working on a handlebar accessory called “T-Torque” to further enhance the VR motorcycle racing experience. Release is planned for December, pre-orders will be available soon.
A realistic motorbike racing simulation for VR
Vrider is being developed by the Funny Tales studio based in Milan and Imola. The 25-strong team consists of experienced developers from racing games such as F1 Racing Championship, MotoGP and Superbike World Championship. The team includes former employees of Ubisoft, 505 Games, Supermassive Games and NetEase Games.
The game will be published by the new Miami-based VR studio VRAL. VRAL is made up of experts in gaming, hardware and artificial intelligence. They have developed their own technologies for Vrider, including the proprietary VR Racing Engine, AI opponents trained by machine learning, and MotionWellness technology to combat motion sickness.
Officially licensed by the FIM Superbike World Championship, Vrider features five original Superbikes from Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha, allowing players to take on the role of one of 23 riders and race at over 200mph on 12 faithfully recreated tracks.
In addition to a multi-stage tutorial, there are various game modes such as time trials, races against AI opponents, endurance challenges, a world championship as well as synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer modes. Innovative features such as realistic 3D sound and gesture control round out the package.
