VR giveaway: Win VR basketball game Blacktop Hoops for Meta Quest or SteamVR now

The popular VR basketball game Blacktop Hoops has finally left Early Access. Today we are giving away keys for Quest or SteamVR.

Blacktop Hoops has left Early Access and was released as a full version on May 16, 2024. Since then, the popular VR basketball game has been available in the Horizon Store for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro and on Steam for PC VR. Today we are giving away four keys each for the Meta Quest and SteamVR versions.

What to expect from Blacktop Hoops

Blacktop Hoops immerses you in spectacular streetball action. According to developer studio Vinci Games, over one million players have tried the VR basketball game on both platforms to date. It has received nearly 17,000 reviews and a 5-star rating in App Lab.In the campaign, you play 12 matches on iconic streetball courts in cities such as Oakland, Los Angeles, New York and Athens. The culmination of your journey to become the “Greatest of All Time” is a final showdown against dunking world champion Jordan Kilganon.

You can also compete against other players in various PvP modes such as 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4. You can play your way up through nine ranks and 21 divisions in a skill-based matchmaking system. Cross-play between Quest, Pico and SteamVR headsets is available. Blacktop Hoops also features eight training modes where you can hone your basketball skills in shooting, dunking, dribbling, and more. A detailed tutorial teaches you the basics. Training matches against AI bots in 1vs1 and 2vs2 are also available.

The new avatar system allows you to customize your digital alter ego with over 600 adjustments. In addition to cosmetic items, you can choose headwear, hair, shoes, tops, shorts and accessories. After a lengthy beta period, Blacktop Hoops will be released on May 16 for 30 Euros in the Meta, Steam and Pico digital stores. According to CEO Nathan Ventura, the developers wanted to create an immersive VR basketball game rooted in the authentic streetball atmosphere of NBA 2K games.
