Violinist Tomás Cotik has created an augmented reality performance. “Música AR 3D” is viewable via smartphone from various locations in Portland, Oregon. The project allows audiences to experience his performance of “Spanish Romance” from different angles and distances. Cotik, an associate professor at Portland State University, has previously created multidisciplinary projects like “Ombra Musici” (“The Fiddler on the Roof”), which blend classical music with innovative presentation formats. He plans to complete further projects in Barcelona and Zaragoza.
