Sony releases and announces new games for Playstation VR 2

To celebrate the first birthday of the Playstation VR 2, Sony has some gaming news that we’ve rounded up for you.

In the same blog post, Sony also announced that it is working on PC VR support for PSVR 2.

Surprise release: The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood

This action-adventure game puts you in the role of a powerful wizard as you travel through the realm of Meliora, hurling fireballs and other spells at your enemies.

The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood arrives today for Playstation VR 2, featuring a single-player campaign and a co-op mode for up to three players.

The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood is already available for Meta Quest and PC VR headsets and has been enhanced for Playstation VR 2.

Release date and new trailer: Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate

Imagine traveling from era to era with the help of a magical clock to steer the fate of humanity in the right direction at crucial historical moments. You find yourself in the bodies of contemporaries and take on different identities, similar to the TV series “Quantum Leap”.

Wanderer: Fragments now finally has a launch date: It will be released on June 27, 2024. The game is also coming to Meta Quest and PC VR headsets.

A new trailer shows new gameplay.

Announcement: Little Cities: Bigger!

The successful VR city builder, which enjoyed success on Meta Quest, will be released for Playstation VR 2 on March 12.

More information can be found in a separate article on Little Cities: Bigger!

Announcement: Zombie Army VR

The first VR spin-off of the Zombie Army franchise is coming to Playstation VR 2 and all other major VR platforms later this year.

In Zombie Army VR, players return to the battlefield as one of the Deadhunters, an elite unit that hunts both zombies and war criminals. Players will fight their way through hordes of the undead near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg and help Hermann Wolff, the legendary leader of the Deadhunters, find his scattered family and free Europe from the zombie apocalypse.

The game can be played solo or in co-op mode with a friend.

New details and screenshots: Soul Covenant

New details and screenshots of the JRPG, which will be released later this year, can be found on the Playstation Blog.

“In a near-future Japan that sees humanity fight for survival against a mech regime, you’re tasked to take on hordes of encroaching enemies and colossal, powerful foes in tense, melee-based combat. You’re not alone though. You’re but one of a four-strong troop, joined by three other avatars (in the form of NPCs or controlled by other players). If a comrade falls, they can still contribute to the battle, as their remains transform into a weapon that can be equipped, giving you access to axes, dual swords, chainsaws and more. Acquired weapons can be strengthened further through items dropped by downed enemies. With each one offering two different forms, you have a growing number of versatile combat styles with different reaches and power sets to try out.”

New DLC: Arizona Sunshine 2

The DLC replaces Buddy with a Corgi. There will also be three new Horde maps available for free between March and May.
