Snapchat and NYX Professional Makeup have launched an AR filter called “Beauty Bestie” that doubles as a shopping tool. It allows users to try out makeup looks and purchase matching products on the NYX website. The filter adapts to the user’s preferences and recommends more personalized looks over time. New customizable looks from NYX makeup artists will also appear daily. Also planned for this winter is a feature that will allow users to scan a product with their mobile phone camera to see a matching tutorial video.
