The Future Is Now

Quest 3: Sky Climb sends you on a dizzying VR platforming adventure

Sky Climb brings colorful chaos and classic virtual reality platforming charm to the Meta Quest.

Now you can soar to lofty heights with Meta Quest VR headsets. São Paulo-based studio VRMonkey has released Sky Climb, a VR platformer that even the youngest VR fans should enjoy.

Sky Climb features 65 levels spread across seven colorful balloon worlds. Using only arm and hand movements, you can intuitively run, jump, and climb through the course-like areas, overcome obstacles and enemies, and face challenging bosses.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Sky Climb features a multiplayer championship mode that pits you against five other players and 24 bots. You can also get your creative juices flowing by designing your own levels in Build Mode and sharing them with other players. You can also customize your heroes and compete against players from around the world in leaderboards.

New entry in a genre thought to be lost

Sky Climb is now available for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro and costs just under $15. Nearly 130 reviews rate the game currently with 4.5 out of five possible stars. A version for Playstation VR 2 will follow in the next few weeks.

The developer VRMonkey was founded in 2013 in São Paulo, Brazil and consists of a team of 45 employees. The studio has worked on numerous ports of popular VR games, including Vampire: The Masquerade — Justice, The Exorcist: Legion VR and Ruins Magus for Playstation VR 2.

With Sky Climb, VRMonkey is venturing into a genre that was particularly popular at the beginning of recent VR history. Since the huge success of Gorilla Tag, acrobatic VR platformers like Toss, No More Rainbows and Outta Hand have been released.
