The Future Is Now

Pure idyll on Meta Quest 3: Across the Valley lets you raise cute piglets in Virtual Reality

Relaxing gardening and cute animals in VR await you in the Portable Edition of Across the Valley for Meta Quest.

German-based game developer FusionPlay has announced “Across the Valley — Portable Edition” for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. The cozy VR farm simulation game allows players to immerse themselves in a virtual farm idyll and take care of plants, animals, and the expansion of their farm.

In contrast to the PC VR version, the Meta Quest version of the game has slightly reduced graphics. The developers put special emphasis on simple control via teleportation and avoided artificial locomotion. This is to prevent Motion Sickness and provide a comfortable experience for both VR newcomers and experienced players.

To celebrate the launch of the Portable Edition, FusionPlay is offering the game at a reduced price for a limited time. Across the Valley was released on Meta’s early access platform AppLab on February 29th with a starting price of $10.

Cozy farm life with lots of different animals

FusionPlay’s VR farm simulation is a cozy game that immerses you in a stress-free, harmonious world. You can raise cute baby animals and perform various farming activities. These include milking cows, shearing sheep, and hunting for truffles with pigs. Hand-drawn graphics and a soundtrack by award-winning game composer Dynamedion add to the game’s relaxed atmosphere.

Across the Valley was originally released on April 6, 2023 for Playstation VR 2 and SteamVR. An update to the game released in July 2023 added support for the LIV framework. This allows streamers to easily integrate mixed reality streams into VR games.
