The Future Is Now

New free songs for Beat Saber, Meta Quest 1 will be out of support soon

Five new songs, a new environment and improved laser effects: The free OST 7 update for Beat Saber brings a breath of fresh air to the VR hit.

Beat Games has released the Original Soundtrack 7 update for Beat Saber. It includes five exclusive songs from community favorites and newcomers that are available to all players for free. With this update, the catalog of free songs in Beat Saber grows to 55 tracks.

The OST 7 tracklist includes the following songs:

In addition to the new music, OST 7 introduces the new “Collider” environment and enhanced laser physics: lasers can now bounce off surfaces to create even more spectacular light shows and effects.

All OST songs, including OST 7, are ID-free. This means you can stream the songs on social media platforms like Twitch and YouTube without worrying about copyright claims or strikes.

End of an era — Quest 1 no longer supported

The OST 7 update is the final content update for the original Meta Quest. As of November 2, 2024, Beat Games will no longer support the first generation of Quests. Quest 1 owners will still be able to play Beat Saber, but multiplayer will be disabled. Leaderboards may also be discontinued in the future.

Those playing Beat Saber on Quest 1 via Air Link on a PC will not be affected. Thanks to the new crossbuy support, once purchased content is still available on all supported meta-platforms, including Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, Rift, and Rift S.

Beat Saber: Phenomenal VR success continues

Beat Saber is one of the most successful VR games ever. Even before its early access release in 2018, viral mixed reality videos hinted at its success. The innovative gameplay of Czech developers Ján Ilavský and Vladimír Hrinčár wowed the VR community.

Beat Saber made its commercial breakthrough on PC VR and especially on Meta’s Quest platform. At the end of 2019, Meta took over the development studio Beat Games. Since then, numerous music packs with licensed songs have been released.
