Meta Quest games coming in December 2023

The year ends with the biggest VR game ever developed for Meta Quest. But Asgard’s Wrath 2 is not the only Quest highlight this month.

New Quest titles are usually released on Thursdays, although there are exceptions.

Please note that the following list is not necessarily complete. Some VR games may be announced or postponed during the month.

Games from the App Lab are included in the list only in exceptional cases.

Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut (December 5)

Travel to feudal Japan in the 15th century and embark on a bloody quest for revenge as the Shinobi assassin Kenshiro. Your goal: to assassinate a gang of criminals who overthrew your noble house and killed your family.

Arashi: Castles of Sin was released in 2021 for the original Playstation VR. The “Final Cut” is an enhanced version developed by Skydance Interactive (The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners 1 & 2, Behemoth). The VR studio promises better graphics, improved enemy and boss behavior, reworked controls, and a host of other improvements.

The VR game will be released simultaneously for Playstation VR 2 and on Steam.

Arizona Sunshine 2 (December 7)

The sequel to the most successful VR zombie game of all time is bigger, prettier and more brutal than the original and features a co-op mode like the original.

The VR game will be released simultaneously for Playstation VR 2, Pico 4, and on Steam.

LEGO Bricktales VR (December 7)

Lego Bricktales VR is based on the original game of the same name for consoles, Mac, PC and smartphones. The VR port is optimized for the recently released Meta Quest 3 and features a mixed reality mode.

Your mission is to breathe new life into a run-down amusement park. You will explore beautiful Lego dioramas, build objects, solve physics puzzles and unlock new abilities.

Racket Club (December 14)

The latest VR game from Resolution Games (Blaston, Demeo, Ultimechs) invents a new sport that combines elements of tennis, squash and pickleball.

There are numerous game modes: 1v1, 2v2, a Practice mode with AI duels, a Drills mode where you learn the rules and special technique, and a career mode. If you want, you can activate the mixed reality mode and place the pitch in your own home. There is also a detailed sports club environment where you can meet and get to know other VR players.

Racket Club will be released simultaneously on Pico 4 and Steam.

Asgard’s Wrath 2 (December 15)

The PC VR role-playing game Asgard’s Wrath set new standards for VR graphics and gameplay in 2019, prompting Meta to acquire studio Sanzaru Games. Four years later, the most ambitious VR game ever developed for a standalone VR headset follows.

The action role-playing game features a 60+ hour story campaign, physics-based combat, expansive worlds, and a Roguelite-inspired dungeon mode.

Anyone who purchases a Quest 3 gets Asgard’s Wrath 2 for free (offer ends on 1/27/24).

Towers & Powers (December 15)

In this tower defense game, you take on the role of a god who must protect his island and its citizens from invaders.

Towers & Powers will be released simultaneously for Playstation VR 2 and on Steam.
