Marvel Studios and ILM Immersive announce “What If …? – An Immersive Story”, an exclusive VR/MR experience for Apple Vision Pro.
The hour-long interactive experience immerses users in the multiverse. Marvel describes the Vision Pro app, based on the Disney+ original animated series “What If…?”, as follows:
“Fans will be invited to step inside the Multiverse like never before and have the chance to dive into an immersive, narrative-driven and innovative story in mixed reality. Connected to the critically acclaimed Disney+ Original animated series What If…?, Marvel.com was given a first look at the hour-long experience, diving into what fans can expect when it is released soon as a new app for Apple Vision Pro.”
The experience will incorporate VR and MR and feature eye and hand tracking interactions. More details will be announced in the near future.
What If …? – An Immersive Story is directed by Dave Bushore of Marvel Studios and produced by Shereif M. Fattouh of ILM Immersive.
The experience is in good hands with ILM Immersive. The studio has more than a decade of experience in VR development, having developed Vader Immortal and Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge for Meta Quest.
