The Future Is Now

F1 24 will get PC VR support again

F1 24 will have a PC VR mode, while Playstation VR 2 seems to go empty-handed again.

EA Sports and Codemasters have announced that F1 24 will be released on May 31, 2024 and is now available for pre-order on PC, Xbox and Playstation.

The Steam page for F1 24 shows that the racing simulation will once again offer VR support. The predecessors F1 22 and F1 23 can also be played with PC VR compatible headsets.

Playstation VR 2 has been left empty-handed so far, and this seems to be the case for F1 24 as well: The Playstation Store page for F1 24 does not list PSVR 2 compatibility. It is regrettable that Codemasters has once again bypassed Playstation VR 2, especially as Gran Turismo 7 has impressively proven that racing games can shine on the VR headset.

A full reveal of the game will follow soon. Codemasters promises an overhauled career mode, a new dynamic handling system and much more. There are no in-game screenshots or videos available yet.

Those who pre-order the Champions Edition before April 24 will get access three days earlier, and owners of F1 21, F1 22 or F1 23 will receive a 15 percent discount when pre-ordering this version.
