The Future Is Now

Cloudhead Games has a new ‘flagship VR title’ in the works

Cloudhead Games celebrates its tenth anniversary and looks to the future. A next-gen VR game is on the horizon.

Cloudhead Games developed early VR adventures The Gallery Episode 1 & Episode 2 (2016-2017), the finger-tracking demo Aperture Hand Lab (2019) in partnership with Valve, and the rhythm-shooter hit Pistol Whip (2019), which is still getting fresh content after nearly four years and is one of the 15 most successful premium games on Meta Quest by number of ratings.

Now the studio is announcing that it is working on a new flagship title that will bring players “into the next era of VR game-making”.

“Our next VR project is a culmination of everything we’ve learned from our decade in VR game development,” said Denny Unger, CEO and Creative Director at Cloudhead Games. “Whether you’re a Pistol Whip diehard, brand new to VR, or an enthusiast, we’re making something we think you—and your friends—will love. We can’t wait to show you what is next for us!”

Exactly what the studio is working on and for which VR platforms isn’t being revealed (yet).
